Fashion test with Alice around the streets of Shoreditch with some of my favourite street art by Otto Schade. It’s been great testing again and re-developing a style and opening up my imagination.

This was an enjoyable night, albeit a little hectic trying to shoot a selection of so many models on a crowded boat and trying to find the best light sources, but fun:)

The Button Club in association with Richard Austin Rees PR & fashion Management  organised the Maria Buccalleti Beach Couture Fashion Party

The party took place on a summers evening in July at Temple Pier on board “The Yacht” moored on the The Thames on Victoria Embankment in West End, London.

8 Catwalk models wore the famous beachwear designer label Maria Buccalleti
with a selection of commercial models wearing Andrea Littlefair’s Cheeky Beach
and a few glamour models setting the beach mood in their own creations as well as guests also turning up in beach wear as well as Johnny Lynn from Polistas adding to the fun with Polistas International Polo Team shirts. Over 15 photographers were in attendance, and fashion was definitely the theme of the party as 300 guests boarded the yacht during the evening to an array of fashion shoots taking place around them, whether on deck, upstairs, downstairs and beyond. It didn’t take long for the guests to get involved too.
Guests were treated to performances from European Pop sensation Pola performing tracks from her new album as well as an amazing set from Electric Celloist lizzy May

These were a couple of fashion test shots of Mistress Heelena  I took in May. I have been thinking about the creative direction of my work and love the fine line of desire and want to entitle our exhibition, “The Edge of Desire” or maybe …Pleasure as Lucy thinks “Desire” is too obvious:) How I love creative criticism.

I’m feeling inspired by my latest book purchase “The New Erotic Photography,” by Dian Hanson and Eric Kroll, “Those who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault. Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are the cultivated. For these there is hope” and I am looking for models to shoot and want to just concentrate on producing quality erotica. Having worked in entertainment and news mediums, journalistic exposure in any situation is ultimately never as interesting as your own personal creative journey and exposure.

Photographing celebrities and news you feel like a voyeur documenting other people’s dysfunctionality and leave no lasting inspiration behind, other than yesterday’s chip paper. To explore your own imagination and create something of your own inspiration that can inspire and be memorable is infinitely more satisfying and meaningful.

I like the Chas Ray Krider ethos, “Most of the women I work with are non-professional models. Many are friends and acquaintances. A good model is one who has a sense of her own sensuality and can let it flow out.” Which Mistress Heelena certainly has.

I thought that Alternative Fashion Week was excellent and have missed not going for the last few years. There were lots of great models, designers, interesting make up and cool fashion. I am uploading all the images to facebook at the moment if the are any models and designers that come to this page and want to add me as a friend.
